Standards Committee Organization
The Health Physics Society Standards Committee (HPSSC) is responsible for integration among the respective HPS N13 and N43 Accredited Standards Committees (ASCs) and with HPS organizational representation to other national and international standards organizations. The HPSSC is charged with prioritizing and publishing HPS Standards. Detailed information about the ANSI/HPS Standards and Activities may be found on the Standards Committee website.
Five hours per month to review and ballot draft standards. Additional time required of committee members who assume lead roles for various committee functions. Members expected to participate for at least two three-year terms.
Participate in half-day committee meetings held at the HPS annual and midyear meetings.
Members should have relevant experience in the standards activities of the HPS, with an interest in HPS technical standards and technical knowledge concerning health physics subjects, existing standard content, and national standards practices.
